Why is child security on the internet a problem?
iKEY advisors include Professor of cybersecurity, Dr. Mary Aiken.
Young children are being exposed to and targeted with inappropriate adult material on the internet. In November 2018, Professor Aiken, along with her collaborator Professor Barry O Sullivan UCC, successfully campaigned the Irish government to raise the age of legal access for children to the internet in Ireland to 16 years.
iKEY is currenly being developed to be able to screen children on their mobile devices and hardware when accessing age restricted space on the internet.
